The teacher's interventions and communications
Black board work and graphic models
Practice volume is essential to the development of motor abilities. To this end the introduction of a blackboard can seem too formal. However this is not a waste of time. Graphic representation of the targets, trajectories, angles, placements and movements contributes effectively to building representations which found the player's decisions.
You only have to ask pupils to draw the phases of a game to notice the sometimes very important distortions between reality and their idea of it.
A good sketch speaks louder than words. A blackboard or white board enable to intervene on the spot and even individually: explain question, illustrate. Moreover, this favours the construction of common references for the players in the team. With an oral explanation players can "hear" very different things. With a sketch, the probability of having a common base for action is higher.
